Mission
Our mission is to enhance services provided to those touched by breast cancer in our rural communities. In addition to helping with traditional support services and complementary care, we hope to address issues specific to our rural setting, including access and transportation, physical/emotional isolation, and communication gaps between providers.
If you would like to participate in one of our programs, or know someone who would, please contact a committee member or email us at the address below.
We welcome community participation and input. Please contact us with questions or suggestions.
Breaking news
April 2010 -
Karen Pautz is the local climber for The
Climb Against The Odds, to be held by the Breast Cancer Fund again this summer on Mount Shasta. She is hard at work both with the intense physical training for the climb itself and with the fundraising, which is perhaps the more difficult challenge in these difficult economic times. Click on her name above to donate or find out more.
December 2008 ~ The Red Hot Mamas raised money and donated to BCSSC to help those being treated for cancer. We thank the hard-working women who raised the funds, and generous donors of our county.
October 2008 ~ In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mercy Medical Center Mount Shasta donated $2,000 to BCSSC to help those touched by breast cancer in our county.
